The Winnie Watson Foundation supports childhood education and setting up kids for long-term success through learning. Canyon Rim Academy is a top-ranked free public charter school located in Millcreek, Utah. Canyon Rim Academy has recently undertaken a significant building upgrade and renovation and the school library will be named the Winnie Watson Library in recognition of a gift from the Winnie Watson Foundation. Winnie loved to read and learn, thank you to the generous donors to the Winnie Watson Foundation that have helped to make this gift possible.

The Canyon Rim Cares 2026 Service Weekend is a grassroots effort by the residents of Millcreek, Utah to produce community service events that bring residents together.

The Winnie Watson Foundation is partnering on service projects with Tanner Dance and Project Linus to help kids in need. Join us at Canyon Rim Park at 9 AM on July 18, 2026!

• Tanner Dance develops youth into creative problem solvers, powerful performers, and compassionate community members. Volunteers on this service project will paint ceramic tiles that will become a collaborative art piece to be auctioned at Tanner Dance's annual auction fundraiser.

• Project Linus provides handmade blankets to children who are ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. Volunteers on this service project will be crafting blankets for children in need.

These service projects are family and kid friendly, we hope to see you there and serve together to help our community!

Winnie's passions include dancing and creative expression. Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2025 Winnie Watson Paint Night fundraiser. Funds raised at this event were used to create the Winnie Watson Scholarship at Tanner Dance Company. We are so grateful to be able to share Winnie’s love of dance with other children and to have her legacy and impact continue to live on. We hope and plan to continue this scholarship for many years.
